In April 2006, after working for 8 years in Malaysia & Singapore and being involved in post disaster humanitarian projects in Aceh & Nias Island, Indonesia he was promoted to be a Lecturer in the Geological Engineering Department in Syiah Kuala University, Indonesia. In 2009 he was granted a scholarship to pursue a master degree by fully research in earthquake geotechnical engineering in the University of Adelaide, Australia. His master thesis was submitted in December 2011. At least four papers have been derived and published/submitted to be reviewed from the thesis. In July 2012, he was graduated with commendation for the degree of Master of Engineering Science from the University of Adelaide. Later in 2012, he was awarded a scholarship by the University of Adelaide to pursue a PhD in engineering. He was awarded for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy by the University of Adelaide in December 2018. Currently he is enjoying a research in geotechnical earthquake engineering, engineering geology, site characterisation, site amplification, and soil liquefaction. More
