In 2004, I completed my Master’s degree program at School of Materials and Mineral Resources Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia, concentrated on Artificial Intelligence in Mining and Mineral Processing. Then in 2013, I earned my doctorate degree at Mining Engineering Department and Kroll Institute of Extractive Metallurgy at Colorado School of Mines, United States, concentrated on Mine Design, Minerals Extraction, Geothermal and Resource Recycling. In 1999, I was appointed as a lecturer at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Syiah Kuala University. Then start in 2010, I become one of the academic faculties at Mining Engineering Study Program, Dept. of Earth Eng., Faculty of Engineering, Syiah Kuala University. My research of interest are Mining, Extractive Metallurgy and Energy that are related to “Green Ideas” and Sustainable Development. For me, there are three paradigms of Sustainable Mining, they are; Mine the Earth, Mine the Heat and Mine the Waste. More
